and yet again, we stumbled upon another setback, losing out after owning for the first 20 mins... finshing third in the oct 1 tourney... One thing is for certain though it is not the lack of skill that causes these loses... last sunday it was arrogance that broought us down. We are owning no doubt a ifarmed 3.3k in 15 mins i got an ult point and orb at around the 15-20 min mark, thats pretty good for my usuall qop; besides that their chen was lvl 4 when i was near 10-11... i thought it was cruise control for the gg and i played cocky very cocky. i would blink in to a group of 2-3 heroes thinking that theyed eat my qop... but it wasnt like that at all.... it was me eating the back end of a fucking imba nether ward... they pushed the first towers... and we let them -_-, unknowingly giving them the gold they needed to mount a comeback, styles change and as for ours the lateness of the change when in comes ot tower def caused us the game. Come to think of it, we should've still won even if they caught up in the money race, we were overleveled.... but the thing is we clashed like noobs... i had 60% of my mana when i chose to go in and rape their low level heroes while vin's bkb was still on cd... we didnt get off good swaps mainly coz i dived in -_-.. if there was a person to blame for that loss it should've been me. I make the calls though kev's our team cap from wcg, i make the calls in game and pre game... this time like the past few times i've come up short. I have managed to lose with some of the best talent in phil dota... and how??? simply because i dont know all there is to know about dota. I know much more than the avg player, but it seems it is not enough. Another problem would be our clashin style, our focus fire sux and the way we execute against the enemy is really sub par. The addition of two new members to the team might just bring us back to the promise land. With a current 7 man lineup we can a will be able to hold practices much more often, hopefully solving the clashing problems we've been encountering. Fabros and Makro are probably 2 of the best players we can recruit anywhere, Fabros being more experienced would be able to deliver asap, while makro has potential to step up to the plate once he understands the competitive style of play... knowing what to do and when to do it... i would propose a change in name haha maybe to stop us from falling short yet again and bring us better luck, how bout 129-Reloaded or 129-Revo (short for revolutions) lol... we might not be in our top form come october 8 with 2 new players in our roster... time to relly on the one greates asset we have... talent -_-

3rd round EGG, 2nd place wcg phil ; top 16 wcg asia; 3rd place pacific

after winning for the most part of my career... getting into a slump definately sucks... knowing that your better than your opponent and still lose coz u dont prac sux even more....

PS.

i think i shouldnt play qop anymore, let me play vs or a tanker or something, i cant call the shots as qop since im just hiding at the back leh

I've been playing dota for two years now i think lol, well from the time i started Vin was already legendary, haha when he joined one of our games it would be like a routine pickup of Godlike for him. Yes he is that good.

Fastforward to Oct 2005, mike and jigs of vin's team bota went home for the sembreak and a 10k tourney was up and coming well vin had no team his friend harry had no team me and sef had no team so I tried my best to convince Vin to join the tournament with me and sef. It was 4v4 tp feeding rules. At first Vin didn't like the idea and kept saying "pota" repeatedly when i ask him to join me but eventually i got to his good fat side and he said yes. We played there at 168 somewhere haha and we finished 2nd behind team ninja, not bad for first timers  we got 7k! we finished even better than 129 allstars back then. After that tourney i knew jigs and mike were coming back so i needed an alternative, i needed another team. 129 allstars were playing another tournamnt in 168 toman morato and lele couldn't make it and so they got me, that's my official recruitment for team 129 AS. That tournament was the introduction of my 2 first strats in dota first the "obs in river strat" which has become a standard for tournament level games and my imba and eventually banned "mass necro book strat". If you don't know what that is its either u dont play dota or dont play competitive dota haha (for all those who lost to that strat i am very sorry). Eitherway it was an imba strat.

Well that was the start of my addiction to competitive dota gaming and my friendship with the games best vin joo. From October 2005- June 2006
me and vin were competitors as well as allies. We won more than 10 tournaments in that span of time losing in only 4 tournaments if i remeber correctly. There was a time where i won more than 50 competitive games without dropping a match. In those span of months i think i spent more time with Vin than any other none-family person in the world -_-. We spent most of this time tormenting noobs in pub games using our alliases.

The culmination of all that we practiced for was WCG 2006, where as i posted we lost. I feel sorry for Vin we were planning to go there again next year but its not meant to be. He lost his one chance for glory and i dont think he'll have one again. Neither would i, losing my main man. Vin is like batman and im robin haha just support him and its a sure thing. Losing him would mean time to step up to the plate and as history in the NBA shows its really hard to step up from the shadows of someone ask Scottie Pippen or Kobe Braynt.

Losing Vin is really a big blow to 129 allstars but the bigger thing is that i'd be losing a friend. I'd be losing the guy who'd eat with me in katipunan, and own with me at 129. I'd lose the worthy adversary and the greates ally. This goes to vinni, bye vinni! gud luck with your life (as a soldier lol), my dota life or life in general for that matter wouldn't be as great without you. You've been a great friend and team mate. Thanks for all the things you've thought me both in dota and life. Let's make this last couple of weeks special! Lets own all of them this coming tournaments. Whenever you comeback here in the Philippines don't forget to look me up you noob! kk thnx! it been great but as the cliche goes all good things has to come to an end... GG ...

ps.

it would've been great to findout  what we could've done together at WCG 2007... we can only imagine sigh 0_0...

hmm its been a month since i came from sg with dreams of getting world wide recognition as the best dota team in the world. My team (129AS) failed to win there, went home empty handed and just ended up as a side note. We swept the first round of elimination to get to the stage matches, the only good team we fought was Ipod mini, this team could take on any other team in the philippines and practically own them, unfortunately for them they were fighting the best in the phil haha. The other two teams were bonus stages and pretty much noobs, i was owining a lich 1v1 mid using my qop this was version 6.34 and lich still owns that version. We finished the group matches with a clean 3-0 record. The other team finished with 2-1 and got kicked out of the event. They lost to mi2 one of the wierdest yet most effective teams i have seen play.

The next match we played was against the ever famous zenith (mvp) regarded as number 1 in sg at that time. I was feeling the pressure, we played on the stage where each of our monitors were shown to an audiance of around 400-500 (my estimates) via a flat screen tv in front of us. Behind us was a big projection screen were the clashes and focused 2v2/1v1/ganks were shown. They even had commentators! omg! i was feeling the pressure, i went to the CR 3 times before starting the game this was for the win we knew if we could beat zenith we could beat anyone. we drafted our heroes they got pugna rk chen sk lich and we got qop jakiro sf sylla enigma. well the last and most controversial pick was SF no team has used the heroes in a while and we chose it for our last pick. Actually i wanted VS but no one really supported me so i ask them what they want, and we all pointed to vin to choose the hero he chose sf and i got a couple of nods here and there and sf it is. Its not vin's fault we all agreed on SF, mostly it was my fault for not asserting my self as the drafter of our team (hey im the one who spends countless hours watching replays).

During the match we were owning at the start with lele (bear) managing to get 2 chamba entangles on tofu's pugna =. I wasnt doing well at mid 1v1 against lich, the f*cking  alt sucked and i couldn't deny well. i think i was 1.5 levels down tham imba dark rit! but i got some back after tp killing rk at botom to bad sf was the only one there if it was vs it would've been a dbl kill on chen rk. As the match went on however the lack of ganking power having a bear sf in the team was evident. Zenith got a break and recovered mid game. Actually Zenith was lucky that we made a wrong pick if we had the vs they were practically gg the way we started that game and to tell you we have the best VS in the world.  After recovering mid game they pushed us i think the items were tied rk bkb treads, qop eye, bear radiance, sf vanguard stygian, chen stygian bracer, sk blink, jakiro eul, enigma boots 0_0. They pulled of a great epi and that practically meant gg as SF Jak and enigma all died from just 1 damn epi and nether wards. It was really bad positioning on our part and they too advantage. Needless to say it was a 5-0 wipeout with us on the losing end of the clash.

After GG's were exchanged we went and shook the hands of the enemy haha humiliating stuff but it was all in the name of sportsmanship. Vin's face couldn't have been more sad, me too i looked like i got hit by pacquiao's left hook. It was like an end of a dream, but what the heck like kev always does he smiles at it.... nino says nothing as usuall (smirking again) and lele scratches his long back, Pok announces a drinking session and JB just smiles. For them it was all good or at least they make it seem like it but for me and Vin it felt like death, or something worse we knew someone was better than us, and we had to wait one fuc*ing year to prove otherwise.

As vin always said 5 vin's in one team can't be beaten... maybe he's right proven by that loss but since theres only one of him he has to live with playing with me. I'd like to think that being the next best thing...
